This is a nice note that was sent to Anne, and whilst we do not acknowledge every note as there would not be enough hours in the day, it is lovely to hear the special stories. Dear Anne Geddes,
Hi my name is Savannah and I am going to be 10 on January 27, 2011. Why are you closing your store at downtown Disney, in Anaheim CA? Please don’t close! Your store is the best and it will take a long time to get a baby if I have to order it. I collect your babies in an egg and so far I have 8 babies. These are the ones I have: The Santa, pink tiger, orange tiger, orange and yellow butterfly, kitten, blue bear, the African American bear, and yellow bunny. I really love visiting your store and get so excited when I get a new baby. I also love looking at your pictures of all the cute babies you have photographed. This week in school we were told that we have to do an autobiography on someone famous. We need to learn about that person, dress up as them and do a 3 minute speech as that person on February 4. I have chosen to be you for my autobiography. My mom surprised me with your book “Labor of Love” yesterday, so that I can learn more about you for my report. Thank you for everything you do and create. Please, please, please don’t close your store.

From a team member:- Hi Savannah, it is necessary to close the store as end of the 5 year lease came up, and because of Anne’s attention on her new project on pregnant women that she is working on now, she has not the time to be involved in the design of the product, and without that, there will not be that special feeling that you like so much. It has been a wonderful 5 years and we have loved the time spent at Downtown Disney, Disney are great people and it is a wonderful place to visit, so don’t stop going.
Also it is lovely that you have picked Anne for your famous person, we know you will be very good, and with the care and love you show, you will do a very good job we are sure.
Let us know how you go on the 4th and we will show Anne a photo if you can send one.
Once again, good luck, sorry about the store, but Anne’s next project is very special as well.
PS Happy Birthday for Thursday, being able to have two numbers in your age is a very important moment!!!
