#366 Uganda Day One!

Wow, what an amazing 24 hours in Uganda with the Shot@Life team and fellow Shot@Life Champions. Kampala is the capital and is a bustling city, the people are truly some of the friendliest I’ve ever met. The highlight of ‘day one’ was visiting a local public school, a school where the children are thriving. Much of the credit must go to their amazing Head Teacher, known to the children as Grandmother, who treats the school, and everybody in it, as her family. As well as basic reading and math, the children are taught important lessons about vaccinations, the importance of sanitation and community. We were treated to an amazing show from the students who sang for us. Their pride in their school and education was an inspiration! I’ll be sure to keep you posted as the trip continues, and I promise to write more in-depth posts upon my return!
