Finding the watermelons for this image was the difficult part. With much smaller families these days, there is no demand for large watermelons, and therefore they are quite rare. We went to two early morning fruit markets before we found two watermelons this size. The watermelon costumes were really beautiful, with real watermelon seeds incorporated with them! The babies were lying on top of plastic and soft foam, so they were very warm and dry, and to get them to sleep we walked around with them as they lay in the watermelons. Anne XO
