"In September 1999, three of the most delightful little girls were brought to my studio...
...for what turned out to be a very special photo shoot. Charlee B, Susanna and Jaclyn are identical triplets, which is quite rare. Their mother, Lisa, told me that the incidence of naturally conceived identical triplets is about one in 30,000... In both Maneesha's image and this one of the triplets, the beautiful big hands belong to Jack.

As seen in Anne's autobiography, A Labor of Love.
My luck ran out when they came back at twelve months, at this age it felt a bit like photographing an octopus. They were all over the place — arms and legs going everywhere — they simply didn’t care to listen to me at all. I remember thinking, when I was photographing them, Now I know why I gave up portraiture!"
Text taken from Anne's autobiography; A Labor of Love.

When the girls were six months old they returned to the studio for a
visit. I thought to myself, wouldn't it be amazing if they would all sleep
together again in an image? Almost impossible odds, but they did.
