Anne Geddes's highly popular and internationally renowned
images and product line comes to Southern California this month when the company's
first flagship store officially opens on October 26, 2005, in the Downtown Disney
District of the 500-acre Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, Calif.
Modeled along the lines of a family room/art gallery, the Downtown Disney Anne Geddes
store will include a carpeted seating lounge, a children's play area filled with
toys, and lighted, recessed displays of product. An Anne Geddes mural will cover
an entire wall, and visitors will be able to enjoy, for the first time, selections
of Anne's large, art-quality prints displayed in a "viewing gallery."
"Anne Geddes products emphasize quality and commitment to family, and we are showcasing
our successful range in a specially designed environment that will complement the
Downtown Disney District, while offering a unique Anne Geddes experience," commented
Kel Geddes, Director of the Geddes Group.
The dedicated 2,700-square-foot flagship Anne Geddes store will offer a broad range
of items from the Anne Geddes line, many appearing for the first time and exclusive
to the store. The Anne Geddes Baby clothing collection and accessories for infants
and toddlers includes a range of five diaper bags, each showing one of her beautiful
photographs and fashioned with special attention to detail and finishing.
Designed by Anne, the clothing line features her signature Baby Bunny and Baby Bear
suit, hat, and bootie sets, receiving blankets, jackets, quilts, dresses, soft pants
and tops, sun suits, and handmade Italian baby shoes. Also shown will be Anne's
latest addition, the Ladybug line, drawn from images first published in her international
bestseller Down in the Garden, with its Ladybug sweater and cap set, quilt,
dungarees, pinafore, sleeping pouch, jacket, and more. Seen for the first time in
the store will be Anne's new layette line featuring the Anne Geddes Baby logo in
a soft unisex color combination of white and vanilla. The line consists of
the newborn essentials including a gown set, embroidered wrap (blanket), a one-piece,
soft jacket and pant set, as well as, short- and long-sleeved body suits.

the addition of Anne Geddes' flagship store to the Disneyland Resort," said Matt

into the unique collection of shopping and dining experiences at the Downtown Disney
District."
New in the Downtown Disney Anne Geddes store will be Anne's fall 2005 gift book,
Cherished Thoughts with Love, along with her other internationally successful
titles Miracle, Pure, Until Now, and Down in the Garden, and the
recently redesigned evergreen My First Five Years baby journal, as well
as her children's books and birthday and anniversary date keepers. In addition to
the full line of Anne Geddes calendars and datebooks, plush toys, a new collection
of European-styled wristwatches, posters, photo albums, and other items, the Anne
Geddes store will be the first retail site in the U.S. to offer Anne's new bedding
line.
Made in Italy and exhibiting fine fabrics and contrasting trimming, the bedding
collection features two ranges: one for the newborn's nursery and another sized
for twin and double beds. Both incorporate Anne's charming imagery, include quilts,
duvet covers, and sheets, and come in a range of colors – yellow, powder pink and
blue, orange, red, lilac – that will harmonize with the décor in any home. The store
will also showcase a new line of sterling silver keepsake gifts, including a baby
cup, spoon, rattle, photo frames, and keepsake boxes. Complementing these items
will be a sterling silver jewelry collection of necklaces, lockets, and bracelets.
