Anne selected to judge Doodle 4 Google, Australia
Doodle 4 Google is an initiative that asked school children across Australia to create their
own version of the famous Google logo that depicted their 'Wish for Australia'. Thousands and thousands of entries were
received, from every state and territory in the country, and these were whittled down to a long list of 320.
Anne, and her fellow judges Ken Done and Hugh Evans spent a morning at Google Australia's office selecting winners
from each age group in each state, and ended the day with 32 fabulously colorful and inspiring artworks. These 32 went
to a public vote to find four overall age group winners, and the overall winner was selected at a special event on November 10 in
Sydney. The work of the winning young artist will have an enormous audience - their 'Google doodle' will end up on the Google
Australia homepage on Australia Day, 2010, for millions of people around the world to see.
Congratulations goes to Jessie Du for her winning Doodle titled Australia Forever.
