4/24/18 - Today is World Meningitis Day - a chance to highlight the perils of bacterial meningitis, and the urgency in seeking medical care. As a global advocate for children I’m a proud Ambassador for raising awareness of this terrible disease. I’ve photographed survivors from around the world over the past few years and last month in London I photographed a large group of 24 mums (or moms for our USA friends) myself included, with the strong message that the first 24 hour period is critical once symptoms appear. There I am in the middle of the group, holding little 6 month old Ralph (such a cute name!).
