Had a great day in Washington today with a team of talented creatives from all different fields ... lobbying the Senate Judiciary Committee to pass the CASE Act, which will make it less expensive and far more streamlined for artists (whose work is regularly blatantly stolen and used without permission) to take legal action. I was there representing the Professional Photographers of America on behalf of their nearly 250,000 professional photographers here in the United States. Each artist had many personal stories to tell of their work being blatantly pirated and their copyright stolen. We must all stand up and defend our creativity. In simple terms, this amounts to protection of original thought. What could be more important than that!

Many of you who follow my Instagram and Facebook would be aware of the photoshoot I had with Chanel Inman, her husband Sterling Shepard, and their beautiful new born baby daughter Cali. It was a very exciting day that produced some magic results. Such a lovely family! The studio worked really well, Blonde + Co NYC blondeandconyc and I look forward to doing more, thanks also to House Studios for the post production. Keep in touch with Anne on Instagram and Facebook

This morning in the Senate the CASE Act passed with a voice vote - which is a big step forward for us. Team work! We’re nearly there!

Anne is speaking at the Tampa Convention Center at a lunchtime event for the Greater Tampa Chamber of Commerce. It will be an exciting event as Anne describes her journey in photography to an audience of close to 800 people. We will post images from the event.

Today is World Meningitis Day - a chance to highlight the perils of bacterial meningitis, and the urgency in seeking medical care. As a global advocate for children I’m a proud Ambassador for raising awareness of this terrible disease. I’ve photographed survivors from around the world over the past few years and last month in London I photographed a large group of 24 mums (or moms for our USA friends) myself included, with the strong message that the first 24 hour period is critical once symptoms appear. There I am in the middle of the group, holding little 6 month old Ralph (such a cute name!).
